Kids and War

In the absence of war illusion flourishes
In War they come to die

In the absence of war you can tell your children anything
In war you can tell them nothing

I was never a child in war
Driven across my first front lines I learned how many people walked in war

Robert picked up hitchhikers
He and they knew how far they could go

War is mostly the business of children
Kids who grow up there are given shortcuts

All children seem to want to grow faster than they can
These kids do not because they see reality

I was there to help
They comforted me

The cheapest art is made in war
You do not even have to try

Any picture of a kid and war sells
We can never be forgiven

War will unbalance all of your chemicals
Your brain likes to know the way out

In war there is only one way out
In

Between my daughters birthday and mine
NATO dropped bombs of every design

The nurse in no condition
The doctor in no condition
The mother in no condition

In this world your born one way
The words do not survive the bombs

I have never been able to tell a child born in war anything
When there is no security you build your own

There are few lives I would recommend
They say the smartest children are born in war
This is the school to close
