They Say the Smartest Children are Born in War

I left for my first war in 1995
I left my last war in 1999
Nothing was ever declared

It looked like you would think
But you would not believe what you are seeing
The pyrotechnics like nothing else

My daughter had left the hospital NATO
bombed her first day home
Baba forgot she was home a moment as we could hear

The hospital right down the hill
Cluster bombs strewn
They all said the smartest children are born in war

It has been my experience
We were all there
Had nowhere else to go

Mostly thinking of songs to sing and nicknames
It wasn't all roses
I didn't know how to live that way

What always draws my attention is the novel
My daughter and I had this in common we were lucky
She was like nothing I had ever seen

War warps time
We pick strawberry as they break the sound barrier
Burned out in the Balkans perhaps

Always found something to do
People think my daughter mature for her age
She certainly knows how to succeed

Those four short years seemed centuries
Well I was young
I have done many things

I was never born in war
At the birth of the new millennium we should have been done
The best stories never end

The best ones you want to know what comes next
Born in war lives in to be continued everyday

Celtic Death

Was already forever there were old
O'ciera whispered in my ear
Through the smallest bones

We wanted to live forever
Not here
We had title a better place

Only one way you live
Constantly beyond
Instantaneous in its nature

Each time
Real time
Another time

How else could they have known
How else could they have told us
The words sound good together

All time simultaneous
Always more to see
The angle to infinity

We seek a good one
It is the way
You can only live if you have things to die for

The Celtic Way

We are native to our land
Our ideas to their ends
Welfare is justice

all those native people
So independent so destroyed
Never were they anything

Nothing can not be destroyed
A person may trust themselves
Bigger not better

Bigger bigger
Small to finds things in their place
The comfort of many the wrong not righted

Welfare is justice
Hard to implement
Chivalrous code up-scaled a loss

Only the people who win care about the story
Especially when they are wrong
We came from different scales

Twenty people around maybe
Twenty people more you saw in your life
Unless you knew where the good parties are

Some things have never changed
Justice was welfare
Wasn't what they debated how they acted

We tease the behavior from other species in our laboratories
What is it we are looking for
Trust you can taste.

Now we are in this together
There are simple clear reasons
Animals feel pain we can do better

Yet we don't
What got us here through to here was all our heroes
Native to their land

A time of giants after-all
We have made ourselves small people
Celtics saw the way but they lost

No one cries for their native people
Bigger better newer gone in a micro second
Nothing is any-longer sustainable

I live in a major tv market in the riches country in the world
We have no curbside recycling
We have bins, the special trucks come

We have no answer for 2020
We think we have leaders
We have something else

When we dehumanized the native Americans
We gave them great chiefs
Each man was a great chief in abundance

We sell scarcity
Don't want none of it
