We are like the deer
They really see almost nothing
Yet I have seen forty deer run full speed through a thick wood with no sound
What are they looking at
Or with what?
Why is euclid beach important to me
Why isn't it more important to you
The safety patrol asked me today if I liked it
They pushed half the beach in the water
Someone thought sand would be better to swim on
No one really cared
Funny seems to be more people swimming
Or perhaps it is because we are confined so
I told the safety patrol I didn't like it
The sand would soon enough be gone to mentor
No one sees this as a transfer of wealth
Misdirection I look through
Erie for such a great lake is shallow and choppy
These waves do not ignore ignorance and see with no eyes
Like the deer somehow but
Not like mammal sight so change blind
The waves have voted euclid beach you lose half your treasure
Summer is becoming enjoyable but our future not sustainable
Erie waters see different and show us their reality
Blooms do not bother her
A transfer of wealth like any poll tax poor to rich
Hardly stir her just a small place almost long forgotten
