I Would Trade a Universe

There was a time when I needed or wanted everything

So I started out with this disadvantage
Under this impression
Befallen with these stars and clusters
A thing so large for something so small to be
Going further then you could conceive or believe
Ruined more than remains
And no world to be saved
Just me

I find myself with fewer concerns resigned to see everything in this now
No where to go it all comes to me

I would trade a universe for this moment and I have
There is nothing out there that is not in here

In small places I thought I glimpsed large enough universes
They were more than I knew and I would trade them all for you
All around every day no great sacrifice just what I want to be

Ends do not always come
Some things never really start
Other last awhile and make you wish for no end

Some thoughts come more than others
Some faces you can see with eyes closed
There are so many universes I would trade for you
Walk out on part of myself because we are many

What I want
What I need
What I know I am
What I will be

There we shall see
More than a world given away

Something so large for a small thing to be
Everything I am is little
I will not arrive everywhere and will miss most things

Everyday I trade I find more
I enjoy the process
